is an effective tool for evaluating a particular design in the presence of many, varied, <br />constraints. <br />These two sites were then presented at a public meeting on February 13, 2006 where the <br />advantages and disadvantages of each site were debated. Following input from the public, <br />the Division of Wildlife, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers it was decided, by the <br />Animas River Task Force, to recommend to the City that improvements be made at the <br />Smelter Boating Park. It was also recommended that improvements at this site be extended <br />downstream to include additional structures that are of a similar nature to those proposed at <br />the Schneider site. The design shown in this report represents the current design at the <br />Smelter Boating Park, which has been renamed the Durango Boating Park. <br />f <br />i <br />19 <br />
