The same potential problem exists at the terminus of the project as the velocity <br /> vectors are directed to the left foundation of the bridge based on the re-shaping <br /> and direction of flow changed by the U drop structure (see attached map with <br /> potential bridge pier scour locations identified). <br /> Last, I had contributed time to help the City with a conceptual plan of the work below the <br /> foot bridge; thus I am not opposed to in-channel work to the stated objectives. I also did <br /> not submit a bid for the design or construction, so these comments are not offered due to <br /> "professional competition"reasons. I would like to see all of the objectives met not only <br /> for the people of Pagosa,but for the river as well, and I think they can...but not with the <br /> present plan I have reviewed. <br /> David L.
