Grant Application-CWCB Construction Fund <br /> • Form Revised December 16,1999 <br /> program throughout the state and the immediate implementation of various aspects of <br /> the program to provide data for CWCB's mission critical programs including <br /> Compact Protection, Decision Support System Development, Floodplain management, <br /> and Stream and Lake protection. In addition, the project supports the continued <br /> operational viability of the State Satellite Linked Monitoring System. (The attached <br /> Board Memo provides the details of the proposed program and specific projects to be <br /> implemented.) <br /> 5. Please explain why you are requesting a grant, instead of a loan. (The Construction Fund <br /> exists primarily to provide low interest loans for the construction or rehabilitation of Raw <br /> Water Projects. Grants are approved only when the project or study is of State interest and <br /> benefits a wide range of people and organizations, and/or a large geographical area. The <br /> applicant(s)must also show that they are financially unable to repay a loan): <br /> • This is a project of statewide importance. <br /> 6. Will the acquisition of additional water rights be necessary? YES NO X. <br /> If"YES",please explain: <br /> If"NO", describe existing rights: The state currently holds over 1390 water rights that <br /> were appropriated to preserve the natural environment to a reasonable degree. <br /> Water Right CFS.
