Water Conservation Plans need to <br /> be updated every seven years and Firestone's revised plan is due in December 2014. Firestone's <br /> population is forecasted to grow 6% annually through 2016. If the Town grows as forecasted, <br /> they will become a covered entity in a few years. According to SWSI 2010,the South Platte <br /> basin identified a 58% gap between supply and demand by 2050. If the revised plan is fully <br /> implemented within the seven year planning period, Firestone estimates to lower the total water <br /> use in their system by 12%. <br /> The total project cost is $45,709.05. Firestone is committing 31%matching funds in the form of <br /> $2,000 in cash& $12,005.37 of in-kind services. CWCB staff has reviewed and evaluated the <br /> grant application and has determined that the proposal meets or exceeds the CWCB guidelines <br /> for reviewing grant proposals.
