This legislative action made funds available for the
Flood Response Program on July 1, 2001. The fund was created to give the Flood Protection Section
of the CWCB ability to quickly respond and have program funds in the areas of: flood documentation,
flood forecasting and outlooks, post event floodplain mapping, aerial photography, and flood
mitigation. Staff have utilized these funds effectively since 2001 primarily in the areas of flood
documentation, flood forecasting and floodplain mapping. The CWCB staff anticipates utilizing
$1 00,000 out of the Flood Response Fund and is requesting that $100,000 be used to refresh the fund
and bring it up to its current authorization of$150,000.
•Weld
Jeclkso :
■
■G r rfield
• Teller
_ El Paso
Crowley
■
= Fliresdal 'Caster
Prvrs
■Dolores
Grande°
t • { i; Castilla
Project Impact Area
