NOTWITHSTANDING THE CRITERIA IN <br /> SECTION 37-60-121 (1) (b), COLORADO REVISED STATUTES, BECAUSE <br /> THE ORIGINAL AUTHORIZATION FOR THE PROJECT PRECEDED THE <br /> ENACTMENT OF THOSE CRITERIA AND THE INCREASE IS NOW NEEDED IN <br /> ORDER TO MATCH ADDITIONAL FEDERAL FUNDING WHICH HAS BECOME <br /> AVAILABLE FOR THE COMPLETION OF THE PROJECT. <br /> SECTION 8. 37-60-104 (1), Colorado Revised Statutes, as <br /> amended, is amended to read: <br /> 37-60-104. Personnel . (1) The board shall consist of <br /> thirteen members. The executive director of the department of <br /> natural resources shall be a voting member ex officio. The <br /> attorney general , state engineer, and director of said board <br /> shall be nonvoting members ex officio. The nine remaining <br /> members shall be qualified electors of the state, well-versed <br /> in water matters, and shall be appointed by the governor, WITH <br /> THE CONSENT OF THE SENATE, for terms of three years. The <br /> appointments shall be made in such a manner that the terms of <br /> three members shall expire on May 12 of each year. The <br /> members_ of said board who were appointed and are now serving <br /> as such members shall continue to serve as such members. In - <br /> case a vacancy occurs in the-appdinted membership of the board <br /> by death, resignation, or otherwise, the governor shall <br /> appoint a successor to serve the unexpired term of any member <br /> • of the. board. <br /> PAGE 8-HOUSE BILL NO. 1128 <br />
