2.5 Small Project Loan Account '
In 1994 through SB94-029, the General Assembly created the Small Project Loan Account. A

total of$2.0 million was set aside for loans of$100,000 or less. The CWCB was empowered to
authorize these loans at any time during the year without waiting to submit these projects for General I
Assembly approval during the legislative session.
The Board approved 5 Small Project Account loans in FY 96, 5 Small Projects Account loans
I
in FY 97, 4 Small Project Account loans in FY 98, and 1 thus far in FY 99 totaling $1,000,700.
However,the total amount actually under contract was less,or$929,000 as listed below. A balance
of$631,304 was reported by COFRS to be in the account on June 30, 1998.
