I <br /> 3.5 New Projects Recommended For Authorization <br /> • <br /> I <br /> Pursuant to Section 37-60-122(1) (b), CRS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board has <br /> I <br /> recommended legislative authorization to provide loans totaling $5.9 million to fund eight water <br /> development projects statewide in 1996. Theses projects are listed in Table 4 in priority order as <br /> suggested by the Board. The loan is for the purchase of land and water, or the rights to such <br /> water, to replace out-of-priority depletions to surface water rights and to prevent material I <br /> depletions of usable state line flows in violation of the Arkansas River Compact. Part of this loan _ <br /> will be used to pay off a $750,000 bridge loan obtained from the Board's Arkansas River <br /> Augmentation Loan Account.
