Investments of the District may <br /> include: <br /> I • Obligations gations of the United States Government, such bills,g as treasury bills, notes and <br /> bonds <br /> I • Certain international agency securities <br /> • General obligation and revenue bonds of United States local government entities <br /> • Bankers acceptances of certain banks <br /> II Commercial paper <br /> ■ Local government investment pools <br /> • Written repurchase agreements collateralized by certain authorized securities <br /> • Certain money market funds <br /> 1 • Guaranteed investment contracts <br /> At year-end,the District had the following investments: <br /> IType of investment Maturities Fair Value <br /> Investment in Colotrust Weighted average not <br /> to exceed 60 days $ 1,378,906 <br /> Credit risk - State law limits investments in commercial paper, corporate bonds and <br /> mutual bond funds to the highest rating from at least one nationally recognized rating <br /> I agency at the time of purchase. The District has no investment policy that would further <br /> limit its investment choices. The District invests funds in Colotrust, a state investment <br /> pool operated under C.R.S. 24-75-701, with the Colorado Securities Commissioner having <br /> I oversight authority. The pool operates similar to a 2a-7-like money market fund with a <br /> share value equal to $1.00 and a maximum weighted average maturity of 60 days.-At year- <br /> end, The District's investment in Colotrust was rated AAA by Standard & Poor's. <br /> I <br /> I <br /> -19- <br />
