CITY OF MONTE VISTA, COLORADO <br /> NONMAJOR GOVERNMENTAL FUNDS <br /> r <br /> SPECIAL REVENUE FUNDS <br /> Special Revenue Funds are used to account for specific revenues that are legally restricted to expend for <br /> particular purposes. <br /> Recreation Fund—This fund is used to account for resources committed to activities provided for <br /> community programs. Sources of revenue consist of membership dues,registration fees for programs, and <br /> operating subsidies from the General Fund. <br /> Conservation Trust Fund—This fund is used to account for the City share of the state lottery program. <br /> The monies may be expended only for the acquisition, development, and maintenance of parks,and other <br /> public recreational facilities. <br /> Urban Renewal Authority Fund—This fund is used to account for the activities of the Urban Renewal <br /> Authority,a blended component unit of the City. <br /> Capital Improvement Fund—This fund is used to account for the collection of the one percent sales tax. <br /> The use of the monies is restricted for capital improvement projects of the City.
