Box 1161 <br /> Lamar, CO 81052 <br /> Re: Request for Authorization to Substitute Collateral <br /> Dear Mr. Higbee: <br /> At the July 14, 1998 meeting of the Colorado Water Conservation Board, the Board <br /> approved amending Contract No. C153768 such that LAWMA will be allowed, with the <br /> approval of the Director of the CWCB, to purchase any number of shares in the Amity <br /> Mutual Irrigation Company, the Fort Bent Ditch Company or the Highland Irrigation <br /> Company, or any combination of shares in the three companies, up to the limit of funds <br /> available under the contract. All shares purchased must be pledged as collateral for the <br /> loan. <br /> Please coordinate with Bill Green on the completion of the feasibility work for the water <br /> rights acquisition program and with Jan Illain on the contract amendments. <br /> We are happy to be able to assist LAWMA in your very diligent efforts to comply with <br /> the many new requirements for water users in the Arkansas Basin. <br /> Sincerely, <br /> #(04.1 <br /> William P.
