i I i
Ms. Shelly St. Pierre -7- June 17,2013
Deliverables:
None. Included in Task 5.
Task 4—Flood Inundation Mapping
Objectives: Utilize routed flood discharges from Task 3 to develop downstream flood
inundation mapping.
•
Subtasks:
• Hydraulic Model Development: A steady state HEC-RAS hydraulic model will be
developed to simulate hydraulic conditions along the flood path. The model will
• utilize peak discharges from the HEC-HMS flood routing analysis of Task 3 and
cross sections of the floodplain at representative and selected critical locations.
• Downstream Inundation Mapping: Dam breach inundation maps will be developed
utilizing USGS DEM data, 2008 City mapping and 2011 or later aerial photography.
The maps will highlight roads, highways, and critical impacted infrastructure(water
treatment facilities, schools, hospitals, fire stations, etc.). Tabular hydraulic
information will be provided on the maps at critical locations and will consist of peak
discharge, flood depth, flood elevation, flow velocity and floodwave arrival time.
Inundation limits will be prepared in ESRI shapefile format in UTM coordinates
(NAD 83,Zone 13 meters). Inundation maps will be provided on 11 by 17 inch
sheets.
Deliverables:
None. Included in Task 5.
Task 5—Draft Report Submittal
Objectives: Develop a draft Flood Inundation Report and submit for review to the SEO and
Town.
•
Subtasks:
• Communication: RJH will communicate with the SEO and the Town on any
significant technical concerns that arise at the earliest possible time. This will avoid
major revision requests by SEO during review of the draft report submittal.
• Draft Report: RJH will develop and submit a draft Flood Inundation Mapping Report
to the SEO and City for review. The report will document all data, analyses and
results including flood inundation mapping. Full supporting documentation for all
analyses will be provided in appendices including calculations, electronic copies of
models, spreadsheets and all data utilized.
Proposal_Fish and Long Lakes.don
