We have extensive experience with the
Colorado State Engineer's office as we have worked on nearly 100 dams in the State of Colorado. Smith
Geotechnical has conducted flood inundation mapping for the College Lake Darn(owned by Colorado State
University),Cornish Plains Reservoir(Owned by the New Cache La Poudre Irrigating Company),Davis Darns
1, 2, and 3 (Owned by Colorado State Parks), Groundhog and Narraaguinnep Darns (Owned by the
Montezuma Valley Irrigation Company),and the proposed Platte Valley Reservoir#1 (owned by Platte Valley
Irrigation Company). The flood inundation mapping projects discussed above conducted by Smith
Geotechnical have been reviewed and accepted by the Colorado State Engineer's office and are consistent with
the mapping procedures outlined in the proposed scope of work.
Smith Geotechnical has discussed this project with both Jeremy Franz with the Colorado State Engineer's
office and with Rocky Knutson with PRPA. Based on our discussions with Jeremy and Rocky and
experience on similar projects we believe we have a firm understanding of what will be required
complete the work as outlined.
Rawhide Dam, inundation Mapping 1
