Approving and accepting the recommendation of the Legislative
Issues Committee that the Board hear and consider a discussion of
a proposed Colorado Wilderness Bill, anticipated to be introduced
into the United States Congress with language as presented by a
representative of Senator Hank Brown; that the River District staff
participate in reviews and discussions of the several wilderness
issues, especially water-related issues and discuss and review
those issues with Colorado's Senators and the Colorado members of
the United States House of Representatives to the extent possible;
and that a Special Board Meeting be held to address proposed
wilderness bill language.
The motion passed with directors Gustafson, Smith,
Visintainer, Spann and Sands voting "no" , and Director Vickers not
voting.

Amending the above motion to reflect that a Special Board
Meeting be held within three weeks of January 19 , 1993 to discuss
the language of the proposed wilderness bill.
