The trees present a hazard as falling trees can displace a significant
portion of the ditch. The decomposing tree root systems can also promote seepage pathways
through the embanlallent soils.
Estimates to remove the trees were provided by tree service companies. The average quote for the
worlc was $126,000.
COST ESTIMATE
The estimated cost for the project, including the two studies and CMP improvements already
performed, as well as the tree removal, totals $1,551,218.89.
