Emergency Loan Application and Feasibility Study UNION DITCH COMPANY <br />Schedule <br />Construction of the Project is expected to commence October 2013. Project completion is <br />estimated to occur by December 31, 2013. Add any pertinent schedule notes such as if the <br />schedule is `rushed' due to a need to divert winter reservoir rights or to prevent further damage. <br />Repairs have already been started due to contractual obligations to fill Lower Latham Reservoir. <br />Economic, Social, and Environmental Effects <br />List the anticipated economic,; social, and environmental effects of the proposed project. (eg. # of <br />lost irrigated acres, # of lost farms, degraded river channel conditions, loss of recreational <br />activities etc.) <br />If not repaired, there would be approximately 4,871 irrigated acres lost under Union Ditch, <br />consisting of about 60 farms, plus Union Ditch Company would be unable to fill Lower Latham <br />Reservoir as it is obligated to do under the current agreement with Lower Latham Reservoir <br />Company. Union Ditch is also used to deliver bypass water around the Latham Ditch dry -up <br />point, to deliver Section No. 3 Ditch (Godfrey Bottom Ditch) decree water to its ditch during low <br />river flows, and for augmentation. <br />Permits <br />List any permits that will be required or applicable exemptions: Specifically <provide the project <br />status in relation to the US Array Corps of Engineers permit requirements (agriculture <br />exemption, nationwide permit, individual permit). <br />An exemption letter from the Army Corps of Engineers has already been obtained for work to <br />repair and armor the stream banks in the immediate vicinity of the Union Ditch diversion <br />structure. <br />
