S OCIAL , E CONOMIC , & P HYSICAL I MPACTS <br />Social – The Project will have no social impacts since none of the proposed facilities offer a new <br />recreational benefit nor will any recreational activities be created or lessened. <br />Economic – The Project will have a net positive impact for all parties involved; <br /> From the Town’s perspective, the Town will be able to complete its augmentation plans, <br />and satisfy the Water Court orders. In addition, the Town’s customers will be ensured <br />adequate, legal and reliable water supply, now and in the future. <br /> Senior Water right holders will be assured that their water rights are not injured, <br />resulting in more secure economic value and benefit of the use of their water rights. <br />Physical Impact – The Project presents no significant physical impacts except for impacts to the <br />immediately surrounding area during the construction. The impacts will be minor in nature, <br />will affect only a relatively small area, as compared to the Lake itself, and will be properly <br />reclaimed post construction. <br /> <br />XVII. P ERMITTING <br />The Town and the Engineer, acting as program manager and in preparing this feasibility report <br />do not believe that an Environmental Assessment (“EA”) or Environmental Impact Statement <br />(“EIS”) will be required. All work contemplated herein is confined to work on an existing dam. <br />The Corps of Engineers will be contacted concerning 404 permitting but it is anticipated the <br />work will fall under a Nation Wide Permits which will not require formal permitting. <br />
