COLORADO RIVER DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEM
CONSULTANT CONTRACT
THIS CONTRACT, made this 20th day of December, 2000, by and between the State of
Colorado for the use and benefit of the Department of NATURAL RESOURCES,
COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD, hereinafter referred to as the State, and
BOYLE ENGINEERING CORPORATION, 165 South Union Blvd, Suite 200, Lakewood,
Colorado 80228, hereinafter referred to as Engineer.
WHEREAS, authority exists in the Law and Funds have been budgeted, appropriated
and otherwise made available and a sufficient unencumbered balance thereof remains available
for payment in Fund Number 424 , Organization YYYY , Appropriation CRC , Program
WTRC, Contract Encumbrance Number In the amount of$80,685.00; and
WHEREAS, required approval, clearance and coordination have been accomplished from
and with appropriate agencies; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 37-60-115 (1)(a), Colorado Revised
Statutes, the State was authorized to make a continuous study of the present and potential uses
of the water resources of the State; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to provisions of 1995 Colo. Sess. Laws, Chapter 117, Section 3,
the State is authorized to continue the development of the CRDSS; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to provisions of 1995 Colo. Sess. Laws, Chapter 117, Section 3,
the State is authorized to expend not more than one million nine hundred and eighty thousand
eight hundred dollars ($1,980,800) from the Colorado Water Conservation Board construction
fund for such purposes; and
WHEREAS, the selection of Engineer by the State was conducted in compliance with
Sections 24-30-1401 through 1408 of C.R.S., 1988 & 1991 Supp. ("Part 14"), for negotiation
of consultation contracts; and
