As shown in Table 5, we believe that Colorado credit water could have been stored in an <br /> enlargement of Rio Grande Reservoir in 8 of the 53 years. The amounts ranged from <br /> 3,645 acre-feet in 1970 to 99,072 acre-feet in 1948. <br /> 4. An enlargement of Rio Grande Reservoir could be managed to make reservoir capacity <br /> available for additional direct flow storage by the District, the Rio Grande Canal Water <br /> Users Association, and the Commonwealth Irrigation Company. Our calculations <br /> showed that these entities could have stored respectively averages of 15,005 acre-feet, <br /> 23,297 acre-feet, and 4,433 acre-feet annually of additional direct flow water during the <br /> 1946-2002 irrigation seasons. <br /> C:\S102\091503.DDH <br />
