The flood wave will continue down the Saint Vrain Creek drainage and will mostly be contained
within the natural floodplain, but it is expected to inundate several structures and overtop all bridges
in the reach until it converges with the South Platte River. As reported in the effective FEMA Flood
Insurance Study dated September 1999, the 100-year flood in this area is approximately 32,500 cfs
compared to the 4,200 cfs calculated in this report for a Foothills Dam failure. For this reason, the
inundation mapping extent was terminated at Saint Vrain Creek's confluence with the South Platte
River.
FOOTHILLS DAM - 5 - June 15,2012
INUNDATION MAPPING REPORT
