The reservoirs <br />were originally constructed in the late 1800s and early 1900s for use as farm reservoirs. <br />Prior to subdivision, the land was a dairy farm and pastures irrigated by the three FHI. <br />shares presently used by the subdivision. <br />Figure 1: Location of Wadley Farms No. 3 Subdivision <br />The Wadley Reservoirs are fed with water from the FHL Canal through the Signal Ditch. <br />The FHL Canal diverts water from Clear Creek near Golden, winds through Arvada. <br />Westminster, Northglenn and Thornton before terminating at the start of the Signal Ditch <br />at about 122nd Avenue and Washington Street. The Signal Ditch is a carrier ditch <br />without associated water rights. Water travels about 4.2 miles in the Signal Ditch before <br />reaching the Wadley Reservoirs.
