Initial study and formulation of the State <br /> Water Plan were accomplished through the efforts of the Colorado-Westwide <br /> Study Team.--/ This study team was organized in the fall of 1972 to direct <br /> State input into the Western U.S. Water Plan studies and was composed of <br /> representatives of all appropriate Federal and State agencies. After the <br /> Western U.S. Water Plan was rescoped for early and abbreviated completion, <br /> the planning efforts for the preparation of a separate Colorado State Water Plan <br /> were continued by the study team. Work accomplishment will be taken up by <br /> smaller task forces composed also of Federal and State officials. <br /> The Colorado State Water Plan studies are being guided by concepts <br /> contained in the new multiobjective planning guidelines, developed by the Bureau <br /> of Reclamation from the Water Resources Council's "Principles and Standards <br /> for Planning Water and Related Land Resources.
