Project completion is <br /> estimated to occur by March, 2014. <br /> Economic, Social, and Environmental Effects <br /> The proposed project will allow the Church Ditch to continue to provide water for the cities of <br /> Northglenn and Westminster, and in a small part to Arvada and Broomfield. Without this <br /> project, these cities would need to find alternate sources of water either through purchase or lease <br /> which would likely have cost implications in the millions of dollars. If alternate sources of water <br /> are not acquired, these cities would have to restrict water use by their residents through <br /> mandatory water restrictions. Mandatory water restrictions result in lower revenues for the <br /> municipalities as well as decreased customer confidence. By completing the projects listed in <br />
