has elected to install larger pumps in an effort to prove that the system installed meets the

screen cleaner. The issues are relatively minor in some instances, but may require some

Additional studies have shown that the Obermeyer Crest Gates will not operate properly
in the conditions in the Intake Structure. The differential required in the water surface
across the gates is not available during normal operating conditions. The use of air as a
medium to operate the Obermeyer Gates will not work. A temporary system utilizing
water as the operating medium has been installed for operations this season. Other
alternative hoisting systems for the gate leafs are being evaluated.

It appears that the Solids Exclusion Bushings on pumps 5 through 8 were not installed in
the factory. The pump manufacturer is preparing a proposed remedy.

Some minor field work for clearance of the boundary fencing remains to be completed.
NAGPRA related burials have been completed and documentation of project findings is
ongoing. At least one human burial has been found within the excavation limits of a
portion of the NNMP. Work has stopped in this area until the Nava10 Nation Tribal
Historic Preservation O, facer has reviewed the work at the area.
