Subject: State of Colorado Animas -La Plata Project Water Sale
Dear Mr. Quintana:
The State of Colorado (State) currently has an allocation of 10,460 acre -feet (AF) of
Animas -La Plata (A -LP) Project Water and has contracted with Brown and Caldwell to
assist in marketing this water to local water providers in southwestern Colorado. As part
of this investigation, Brown and Caldwell had previously contacted you to identify your
interest in purchasing this water. The projected costs for this water include capital cost
of $3,300 per acre -foot and $36 per acre -foot of annual operations and maintenance
cost.
The State is now proceeding with finalizing the purchase of its allocation from the U.S.
Bureau of Reclamation and has a remaining supply allocation. of 8,900 AF of A -LP water
available for sale. Should you have an interest in purchasing additional water supply,
