f.4. Instrumentation Costs
The S reamPros, FlowTrackers, and Argonaut are items that can be rented at various rates. The
press ire transducers and staff gage will need to be purchased. Both Tracy Vermeyen and Del Smith
have ne FlowTracker and one StreamPro. Del Smith's instrumentation was purchased on a research
proje t and as such he doesn't charge a usage fee. Tracy's equipment was purchased outright and there
is a di ily fee associated with using his equipment. The table below summarizes the costs for equipment.
It is a sumed that the team working Upper Basin Creek can measure flows at close spacing (^'.25 mile) in
a 3 dz V period. The biggest cost in the table below is the Argonaut, and this is a high end estimate. If
the E uilibration period doesn't take 13 days and if the flows recede relatively quickly (the Argonaut can
no to er measure discharge) then the instrument can be removed in less than 50 days.

Equipment Installation
The Soi iTek Argonaut will be installed by Tracy Vermeyen at a maximum cost of $936. The staff gage
and prE ssure transducers will be mounted by construction office personnel. Installation instructions and
locatioi is will be provided to the construction office once this document has been reviewed and the
general approach has been agreed upon.

This tat le summarizes the cost estimates which includes labor, travel, equipment, and data processing.
This is a high estimate, with probably the biggest over - estimate being Lisa Fotherby's labor. I've got her
as beinj present starting at time t =0 (beginning of groundwater charge) and staying through team 1
measur ments. She will update her availability after reviewing this document.
