-8- <br />About 36 laterals and turnouts, with built -in measuring devices will be <br />constructed. The diversion from Dry Side Canal is located at a point from <br />whence the northwest corner of Section 32, Township 34 North, Range 13 <br />West, N. M. P. M. , bears North 23 °48' West, a distance of 1090 feet. The <br />source of water in this canal is the Dry Side Canal and the water transported <br />therein is as described in this Statement of Claim. <br />m. MEADOWS DiVERSION-I)AM AND: CANAL, will divert Animas <br />River water which has been carried to the La Plata River by the Animas <br />Diversion Canal. The diversion dam is located on the La Plata River about <br />one mile downstream from the Colorado -New Mexico State line... The. dam ° and <br />the headworks, of. the canal are located at a point from whence the Southeast <br />corner -of Section 15, Township 32 North, Range 13 West, N.M. P. M., bears . <br />South 54 °511 East, a distance of 3, 550 feet. The canal will extend from the <br />La Plata River to Meadows Reservoir, a distance of about 10.6 miles. The <br />canal will have an initial capacity of 165 c. f. s. and a terminal capacity of 150 <br />c. f, s. . Fifteen laterals and turnouts with built -in measuring devices will be <br />constructed. <br />n. MEADOWS RESERVOIR is located at an offstream site about 15 <br />miles northwest of Farmington, New Mexico. The dam is a rolled -earth <br />structure and the reservoir will have a total capacity of 17,450 acre -feet of <br />which 13,750 acre -feet will be active capacity. The reservoir is located in <br />portions of Sections 25, 26, 27, 34, 35 and 36 of Township 31 North,, Range <br />14 West, N. M. P. M. The initial. point of survey of the high water line of the <br />reservoir is located at a point from whence the Southwest corner of Section <br />26, Township 31 North, Range 14 We st, N. M. P. M. , bears South 25 °18' West, <br />
