Dear Mr.-See:
On April 23rd the Authority Board's Animas -La Plata and Project Finance Committees met to
discuss the Project Proposal submitted by the La Plata Water Conservancy District on April 13,
2009. Minutes from the discussion are enclosed.
As you can see from the minutes, the Committees have concerns about Project ownership,
Compact compliance and the engineering selection process. To discuss these items and others,
the Committees will meet again on June 4t'' at 7:00 p.m. in the Executive Board Room at the
Warwick Hotel, 1776 Grant Street, Denver, Colorado. A short presentation by you or Mr. Bikis
addressing the above issues at this meeting would be strongly encouraged as the Board meeting
on the 5th will be primarily focused on a large number of Drinking Water Revolving Fund and
Water Pollution Control Revolving Fund loan applications. Depending on the Committees'
positions, the Board may or may not take action on the District's request on the 5th. Please let
me know if you will be able to attend on the 4th.
