In your letter to Alex Davis, dated April 23, 2009, you indicated that you are working <br />wi the Animas La Plata Water Conservancy District and the Water and Power Authority to <br />f�t ac ir e the La Plata Water Conservancy District's option to purchase 700 acre -feet from the <br />W r and Power Authority, conditional upon securing funding. Your request to purchase <br />ad ional water from the State is based on projections that the La Plata West Water Authority's <br />fluti Te need will exceed the 700 acre -feet planned purchase from the La Plata Water Conservancy <br />Dis rict. Leo Eisel, with Brown and Caldwell, or other members of my staff will be contacting <br />you to discuss the needs of the La Plata West Water Authority, purchase and funding options, <br />rim g, and other items pertinent to the successful preservation of the State's ALP water <br />It`s our intention to have Phase I of the Study completed by January 22, 2010.
