In your letter to Randy Seaholm, dated April 9, 2009, you indicated that District is <br />curre,,itly in the process of developing a master plan that describes the infrastructure required to <br />oper, te, order of development, and the amount of water needed to sustain a projected user base <br />of 4,(100 plus taps. Based on your preliminary projections, you are estimating a potential need <br />of 5 to 1,000 acre -feet of water, which may change upon completion of your 50 -year needs <br />proje tions. Leo Eisel, with Brown and Caldwell and potentially other members of my staff, <br />will t a contacting you to discuss the needs of the La Plata Archuleta Water District, purchase <br />and f inding options, timing, and other items pertinent to the successful preservation of the <br />States ALP water allocation. <br />It`s our intention to have Phase I of the Study completed by January 22, 2010.
