Cooperative Program with Ute Tribes and Marketing Program
CWCB ai id the Ute Tribes' have initiated a cooperative program to explore options for increasing
utilizatio of A -LP Project water allocated to the Ute Tribes and other water interests in Colorado. The
Tribes would like this program to be initiated within the next few months and anticipate the
announcement of the joint process at the November 2010 CWCB meeting. The Tribes, the State, and
local wa er users, are interested in seeing that A-LP Project Water is used in Colorado to the fullest
extent possible and are seeking ways to accomplish this objective. The process envisioned by the State
and the Fribes will extend beyond the time frame of the investigation reported on in this report.
CWCB w II also work on developing a marketing program to increase municipal use of the State's A -LP
water. ne component of this proposed program would provide assistance for diverting, pumping,
treating nd conveying/distributing the State's A -LP Water. A web page and a marketing brochure would
be devel ped by the State to further assist water providers to use the State's A -LP water supply.
