Also enclosed is a District Court Rule and Order dated July 30, 1990 <br />which awarded title of this parcel and other properties to the State of <br />Colorado. Please order title insurance and initiate other normal procedures <br />for acquisition of this property. We will be submitting the draft Contract and <br />Grant of Easement to the State of Colorado in February for acquisition of this <br />property as early as this summer. <br />Also enclosed is the February 2', 1990 Cost Sharing Agreement between the <br />United States and the State of Colorado which requires the'State to provide <br />$5,600,000 to the United States for construction of <br />value of the Durango <br />of the Animas-La Plata <br />Project. Article 8 of this agreement provides'�� <br />Pumping Plant land to be credited against the $5,600,000 owed by the State. l <br />Although the State Department of Health does not want the value of the land <br />specified in the Contract and Grant of Easement, they have stated they expect <br />Reclamation to credit the Colorado Water Conservation Board for "full market <br />value" of this land as provided in Article 8. Although the State paid $345,000 <br />for this parcel and other properties, the fair market value of this parcel <br />could be considerably more since surface contamination has since been removed. <br />In order to determine fair market value, please initiate an appraisal of Parcel <br />DPP-1(P). <br />If you need further information, please contact Dick Gjere at FTS 322 -6531. <br />Enclosures <br />DGjere :ss:2 /18 /92:DUR450PPMemo.wp1 <br />
