Contents
Tukey's Studentized Range (HSD) Test for Survival versus psi
For the test of psi versus survival for FHM at 0 hrs after sleeve valve passage, we found a
statistically significant difference between the levels tested (F 4,44 = 19.23, p <.0001) using
Statistical Analysis System software 9.3 (SAS). Using a Tukey's Studentized Range pairwise
comparison test, we determined 41 psi had better survival at 0 hrs and was statistically
significant from the other subsequent pressures tested. All of the other survival rates at 0 hrs for
FHM (50, 58, 62, and 71) were not significantly different from one another (alpha 0.05). As part
of the analysis, the test also produced a probability table of the mMimum and maximum
proportion of survival at each psi level tested based on the number of replicates and fish used for
each trial (table 14).
Psi
N
Obs
N
Bean
Std Dcv
Minimum
Maximum
41
10
10
0.0410000
0.0198325
0.0100000
0.0750000
50
9
9
0.0127778
0.0109291
0
0.0350000
59
10
10
0.0135000
0.0117969
0
0.0300000
62
10
10
0.0015000
0.0047434
0
0.0150000
71
10
10
0.0010000
0.0031623
0
0.0100000
Table ld l'rruliable:sleeve vW j3assage fivival of FHM at 0 hrs for each psi level tested.
For the test of psi versus survival fttr-FHM at 96 firs after sleeve valve passage, we found a
statistieally.significant difference between the levels tested (F 4,44 = 11.48, p <.0001) using SAS.
Using the Tukey's Studentized "Range pairwise comparison test, we determined 41 psi had better
survival at 951u ';and was significantly significant from the subsequent pressures tested.
