Contents
At the reservoir elevation of 6828 ft, a total of 9 trials were performed using 200 live FHM
(mean TL 55 mm, mean height 10.1 mm) per trial. Total length FHM measurements ranged
from 34 to 76 mm. One FHM escaped the injection process for trial 4 and 3 FHM escaped from
trial 5. Each replicate was injected into the discharge pipe upstream of the sleeve valve
immediately after before the LMB to test the effectiveness to eliminate FHM (55 mm mean TL)
survival at a pressure of approximately 50 psi.
For trial 1, one FHM (51 mm) was found alive in the
not hold upright and died at 24 hrs after sleeve valve
For trial 2, no FHM were found alive immediately after
For trial 3, two FHM were found alive one in the
fish were still breathing after sleeve valve pass48
Both FHM died at 24 hrs (46 mm and 49 mm).
For trial 4, two FHM were found alive in the entraibm;
both FHM were breathing and were pn their side and#..
mm) and the other FHM (45 mm) w slJi breathing at
motionless.
still breathing but could
passage.
lent nets4nd >one in the spillway. Twenty -three FHM were found alive immediately
after sleeve valve passage (1.28 percent) ranging from 0 to 7 FHM survivors per trial (figure 34).
Three FHM survived beyond 96 hrs (0.17 percent) after sleeve valve passage and ranged from 0
Page 42
