The fish were measured, netted, and handled as test fish were and were held in the
same containers and in the same water quality conditions. There was no incidental handling
mortalities at 0 hrs for either group of white suckers. At 96 hrs after handling and holding, a
total of 21 0 -plus white suckers died for a mean survival rate gf,93 percent however and no 1-
plus white suckers died after 96 hrs (table 3).
Inserted I .4 hr2 L96 hrs I # Survi4r3 % Survival
White Sucker (60 mm) 100 U ,. 8 92 92.00
White Sucker (60 mm) 100 0" 7 93 93.00
White Sucker (60 mm) 100 0 6 94 94;(10.
White Sucker (110 mm) I f(O " 0' ' 100 I 100
White Sucker 110 mm 160, (3 0 100 100
White Sucker (110 mm) 100 0 0 100 100
Table 3.
At the reservoir elevatidif c
white suckers (mean TL 6(
were injecte , and trial 2 w]
Total length "measurements
total 83 fish which Was the
injected into the dischatge
0 -plus white sucker survivs
butterfly valve were manu
of 60 nitnand 110 mm White suckers.
6795 ft;. a total of seven trials were performed using 100 0 -plus
nm, mean width 6.9 mm) per trial except for trial 1 where 98 fish
re 99 fish wet'e used, those 3 fish escaped before being injected.
f the 0 -plus white suckers ranged from 45 to 85 mm.
