As members of the committee, I am sending you the fourth AED grant request of the year. I'm attaching a copy of the request (less the financial statements that were included) for your review. Request No. 13 -4 is from the Lower South Platte Water Conservancy District for $71,274. The dollar amount was supported by the lease cost of augmentation water and the number of call days on the river versus the average number of call days. Included in the cost was additional engineering, legal, and admin time (totaling 5% of the increased cost). I recommend approval of $71,274 to the Lower South Platte Water Conservancy District. Per the guidelines, applications are accepted any time during the year and the approval process will be completed within 60 days following the application date. I understand that coordinating schedules is a challenge, so I am emailing the requests to you with my recommendations for full approval, partial funding or denial to you as they come in. Once all of the committee members have responded to me via email with a vote in favor of the grant request, I'll route the attached approval letter (amending it as necessary if you change the approval amount) for signatures. If committee members are not in favor of the grant (or want to change the recommendation in any way), I will organize a conference call with the committee so a further discussion can occur. If possible, please respond to this fourth request by November 30th, so I can notify the applicant within the 60 day timeframe.
