LAWMA's emergency acquisition of drought- related augmentation water, LAWMA respectfully requests an additional grant in the amount of $4,792.50, to cover those additional drought - related administrative and engineering costs. LAWMA will use 100% of the grant of $326,800 to reimburse, pro -rata, those LAWMA members who leased the emergency replacement water that LAWMA acquired from the Pueblo Board of Water Works. Box 1161 Lamar, Colorado 81052 719 - 336 -9696 lawma@cminet.net As required by the Conservation Board's Guidelines, the attachments to this letter provide the following: • A detailed description of the purpose of the grant as it pertains to an emergency drought- related water augmentation purpose; • A copy of the official drought declaration for the affected Counties by Federal Government (U.S. Department of Agriculture); • A detailed line -item budget for LAWMA's purchase of the 4,000 acre -feet of augmentation water, showing all projected and actual expenditures including in -kind support, and a detailed line -item budget for LAWMA's associated drought - related administrative and engineering costs; • LAWMA's current annual budget, along with a copy of LAWMA's most recent annual report and financial statements; and • Information about LAWMA, including institutional and historical background, a list of the board of directors, the legal classification of the organization, and a copy of LAWMA's current determination letter indicating tax - exempt status.
