The membership is composed of individ s, corporations, municipalities, and other entities that own or control wells within the Arkaas River Basin. CWPDA's municipal members provide water to about 38,000 people and irri lion wells of its members provided sole source and supplemental irrigation water o over 71,000 acres. CWPDA municipal members are primarily the agricultural communiti between Fowler and Las Animas. Most of these members provide their own augmentation star with allocations of Fry -Ark Project: therefore their water purchases are not sho on the attached table. This grant request is limited to CWPDA's irrigation wells. With the imple;�entation of the Amended Rules and Regulations Governing Groundwater Pumping in a Arkansas River Basin, Colorado, CWPDA has developed and operates an annual plan for idmg augmentation water to replace the out -of- priority stream depletions of its member wells. The drought of 2012 has had an adverse financial impact upon CWPDA and its membership.
