during the summer when water temperatures exceed 25°C to reduce stress on the fish. If water <br />temperatures approach 30 °C we will not implant telemetry transmitters in any fish and no <br />implantation in pallid sturgeon will be attempted above 17°C. Monitoring of locations of tagged <br />fish will continue throughout the year using an approximately a biweekly schedule. Habitat <br />measurements will commence at ice out in the spring and continue weekly until ice up in the fall. <br />Collections of sturgeon chubs and associated species will continue until ice conditions preclude <br />safe operations on the river. Food habits analysis, laboratory studies of the effects of pulsed <br />gastric lavage sampling, effects of transmitter implantation, and analysis of field data will <br />continue throughout the year. <br />10 <br />
