We recommend the Program support reasonable on -going studies of
pallid sturgeon in areas of known pallid sturgeon occurrence.
We believe the $1.2 million in the IMRP is more than enough
money to conduct that reasonable on -going study
We believe that a continuation of work similar to that being done by
Dr. Peters' be contingent upon the successful capture of enough wild
pallid sturgeon in the next two years so as to show the Platte River is a
significant contributor to the survival, reproduction or mortality of
pallid sturgeon.
