Platte River bordered by <br />a mixture of agricultural land, <br />woodland, wet meadow <br />complex, and bluffs <br />7.3 Main flow is in South Channel, <br />but 1 -3 other channels, mostly <br /><200 ft, also present. Indian <br />Island and Mormon Island (east <br />half) are located between Middle <br />and South Channels. Channels <br />bordered by a mixture of open <br />land and woodlands. <br />6.8 Main flow is South Channel. <br />Shoemaker Island and west half <br />of Mormon Island located <br />between Middle and South <br />Channels. 4 -5 channels in east <br />half. Doniphan about 2 miles <br />south of South Channel. <br />Transmission line parallels <br />about half of Middle Channel. <br />Some gravel pits near river. <br />I -80 crosses Middle Channel, <br />parallels Middle Channel for <br />most of the segment.
