Platte River bordered by a mixture of agricultural land, woodland, wet meadow complex, and bluffs 7.3 Main flow is in South Channel, but 1 -3 other channels, mostly <200 ft, also present. Transmission line parallels north side of river within 500 to 2,000 ft. Two substations. Phillips is about 1.5 miles south of river. Railroad bridge at about RM 174.7, I -80 crossing at about 173.0. Doniphan about 2 miles south of South Channel. Transmission line parallels about half of Middle Channel. Some gravel pits near river. I -80 crosses Middle Channel, parallels Middle Channel for most of the segment.
