t <br />Letter to Technical Committee <br />Comments of Platte River Project on draft IMRC <br />Associated with the questioning above, the PRP proposes that the monitoring and research <br />effort consider and report the level of monitoring and research that could be accomplished for 25 %, <br />50 %, and 75% of the proposed budget, keeping in mind the relative priority of the various tasks in <br />meeting the goals of the program. Such an exercise would provide much needed insight into the <br />value of information being provided by the monitoring and research activities. <br />Asking hard questions about the necessity for and cost - effectiveness of these tasks is not to <br />minimize the importance of the Integrated Monitoring and Research Component under the proposed <br />Program. We believe these questions are at the heart of good management, and are important to the <br />Cooperative Agreement process and public perception of the Program. <br />Thank you for consideration of our comments. <br />Eric W.
