A3 -- To What Extent Have Channel
Configurations Changed Through TW9
.,17,
Samad and Randle, (2000) "Table 3 [summary of
aggradation and degradation] basically shows that the
Platte River reach between Overton and Grand Island has
been historically stable reach than the reaches between
North Platte and Cozad, and Cozad to Overton. The reach
between North Platte and Cozad is an aggrading reach
and the reach between Cozad and Overton is a degrading
reach. The amount of aggradation between North Platte
and Cozad is not substantial (0.25'in 52 years, 1940 -'91),
however, the amount of degradation between Cozad and
---Qverton is noticeable, 2.6 feet in 52 years (1940- '91)."
