Detailed information can be found in the final report, available <br />from John C. Halepaska & Associates, Inc., 26 West Dry Creek Circle, Suite 640, Littleton, <br />Colorado 80120; (303) 794 -1335. <br />The project is one of 13 demonstration projects implemented by the Bureau of <br />Reclamation and local sponsors in cooperation with the Environmental Protection Agency <br />(EPA) and the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) under the High Plains States Groundwater <br />Demonstration Program Act of 1983, Public Law 98 -434 (the Act). The primary purpose <br />of the Act is to advance state -of- the -art groundwater recharge techniques. <br />Participants <br />The Willows Water District (Willows) and Denver Water are local project sponsors, and <br />cooperating Federal agencies include EPA, USGS, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. <br />The Colorado State Engineer's Office (SEO) was also a participant in this project. <br />Local contacts for the project are: <br />Manager.
