The estimated cost of the project by NRSC is $475,100. The proposed NRCS grant would be
$338,640. That leaves a manageable debt of $136,460 to be converted into a multiyear loan.
The cost breakdown is summarized in table 1 below. The NRCS Preliminary Design report and
detailed cost estimate are included in Appendix D

Implementation Schedule
The NRCS is expected to complete final design by October 1 2011. Construction is
expected to begin in November 2011 and to be completed by the end of March 2012.
Permitting
All easement and rights of way have been arranged for. Arrangements will be made with
Mesa County and the City of Grand Junction regarding all road crossings. Arrangements will
also be made to deal with existing underground utilities that will be encountered during
construction.
