9. STATE WATER USE FEES
Work to date: In response to requests for information from state administrative and legislative
agencies, in 1994 the Council circulated a questionnaire on state water use fees. Later, the results
were compiled, evaluated and summarized in a brief report, Western State Water Use Fees that
was presented to western governors.
1998: Further, information on the level or amount of certain fees will be compiled and presented
to members as a reference and resource in evaluating future fee proposals.
Subcommittee: Jim Stubchaer, Larry Linser and Hal Simpson
Estimated Work Days: 10 days
Time Frame: undetermined
10. WESTERN STATE WATER RESOURCE AGENCIES' ORGANIZATION/DUTIES
Work to date: Continuing requests for information on state water agencies' organization
structure, coordination and duties come from state administrative and legislative agencies.
However, there appears to be no specific and exclusive source of information on these agencies,
and such a reference would be valuable as states continue to create and reinvent their water
resources agencies.
1998: WSWC staff will request and compile this information in a report for members.
Subcommittee:
Estimated Work Days: 9 days
Time Frame: undetermined
