Colorado Water Congress <br />The Colorado Water Congress held its 481h <br />Annual Convention at the Holiday Inn DIA <br />on January 26 and 27. Highlights included key- <br />note addresses by University of Colorado Presi- <br />dent Hank Brown and Senator Ken Salazar. Col- <br />orado State University organized two workshops <br />for the meeting. The first workshop covered <br />how water research can inform the Roundtable <br />process and the other workshop discussed pre- <br />serving historical water documents and records. <br />The session was entitled "Protecting, Preserving, <br />and Promoting Colorado's Water <br />History: Update on Water Archiving <br />Efforts in Colorado" and was moder- <br />ated by Brian Werner of the North- <br />ern District. Janet Bishop, Archivist, <br />Speakers at the Colorado Water <br />Colorado State University's Mor- <br />gan Library spoke on CSU's water <br />Penley (above) and Robert <br />archive program and the critical need <br />Ward, Director Emeritus of <br />to begin correct preservation efforts <br />the Colorado Water Resources <br />to keep documents from going out of <br />Research Institute (left).
