These reductions represent gross savings. The yield <br />of this project may be lower to the extent that return flows would have returned to the <br />Platte River. <br />0 Legal and Institutional Requirements for Implementation: <br />There is currently no existing legislation or new legislation being considered which <br />addresses the water management options described above, in which case, permits are not <br />required to implement these projects. However, it is not clear how water saved under <br />these programs would be protected. Technically it will be difficult to define how much <br />additional water is added to the river on any given day, which will complicate efforts to <br />protect this water.
