CRC is requesting $47,805 to provide 375 hours of indoor commercial water
audits for targeted high water users such as hotels and restaurants. CRC will implement this
project with partner water utilities along the Front Range.
In Colorado, ICI water use accounts for 44% of billed usage. CRC believes it can help these
customers reduce water use&improve their water efficiency practices with a water audit. The
CRC will collaborate with the Colorado WaterWise ICI subcommittee, which has developed a
web tool/online form for implementing commercial water audits. CRC will be able to test the
web tool as well as provide quaterly updates to the subcommittee. Data collected from the
audits, will help inform the utility partners about current fixture types and the efficiency potential
of fixture and appliance replacements.
The total project cost is $65,780. CRC has pledged 27%matching funds in the form of in-kind
services totaling $17,975. The OWCDP staff has reviewed and evaluated the grant application
and has determined that the proposal meets or exceeds the CWCB guidelines for reviewing grant
proposals. Attached is the internal checklist used to evaluate the application.
Attachment: Evaluation Checklist
Interstate Compact Compliance•Watershed Protection•Flood Planning&Mitigation•Stream&Lake Protection
Water Project Loans&Grants•Water Modeling•Conservation&Drought Planning•Water Supply Planning
