The first units of bedrock are predominately <br />shales, with lesser amounts of sbaley chalk and chalk. <br />Limestones and sandstones are predominant at lower depths. <br />These Cretaceous-aged rocks are generally fine-grained and <br />relatively imperraeable and are not considered to be <br />hydrologically important.
